Presentation outline:

The presenter Richard Gatarski is currently finalizing his PhD dissertation at the School of Business, Stockholm University. More about him at his commercial and scientific sites.

This is the real future

Post PC

Why do we have (personal) computers?

and why do they look like they do?

The computer are in our homes...including the kitchen!

In the future we will likely see more than Digital Television. It holds promises of intelligent appliances, wireless communication pads, personal digital assistants, multimedia cars, communicating toys, etc.
NCR Microwave oven communicator
WebPad from Cyrix
Advantage 2000 from CMI and Salton
OnStar from GM
Actimates Barney from Microsoft.
Furby from Tiger Electronics
Cyberpen, used by ISO in Denmark
Kerbango netradio
Itsy platform from Compaq
MP3-player, from Ijamworld or the swedish distributorActor (the original Merit MP-100)

As I see it, right now the (IT) industry is moving away from Internet towards isolated networks.

One healty opposite force is sourced by Open-IP.

Artificial Market Actors

We (humans) are not alone anymore...

A few examples

See BotSpot for more examples of bots.

Look, the market contains non-humans, i.e. artificial market actors

Machines more human than humans?

Sometimes humans don´t understand they are dealing with a computer.

Remember the ATM-story, nobody wanted them and now no one wants to be without them.

Conclusions

Thank you

Featuring Sun Light Chorus.
